Job summary

Arcadion seeks a Senior Engineer to build and scale living digital twins of steel fabrication plants in NVIDIA Omniverse. You will ingest CAD/BIM data, convert to OpenUSD, and bind live telemetry to the 3D scene, enabling GPU-accelerated streaming to stakeholders.

The role requires deep OpenUSD experience, production Omniverse work, strong Python and C++, and a track record delivering industrial digital twins across scalable platforms.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on OpenUSD (USD Python API, composition arcs, custom schemas).
  • Production experience with NVIDIA Omniverse (Kit SDK, extensions, Nucleus, connectors).
  • Real-time 3D / graphics fundamentals; strong Python and working C++.
  • CAD/BIM ingestion and geometry optimization for real-time use.
  • Deploying GPU rendering/compute workloads on cloud (AWS G-family / L40S or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering an industrial or manufacturing digital twin.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain factory digital twins in NVIDIA Omniverse using OpenUSD (composition, layering, schemas).
  • Develop Omniverse Kit extensions, custom applications, and UI; configure Nucleus and connectors.
  • Build a robust asset pipeline ingesting CAD/BIM (Tekla Structures, Revit, STEP, IFC) and reality-capture point clouds into optimized USD geometry.
  • Bind real-time operational and telemetry data to scene objects so the twin reflects live plant state.
  • Set up physics (PhysX) and, where required, material-flow / robotics simulation (Isaac Sim).
  • Optimize scenes for real-time performance and multi-user GPU streaming (Omniverse Kit App Streaming) on AWS GPU instances.
  • Define reusable twin templates and standards so each additional factory is a replication, not a rebuild.

Job description

Seniority: Senior (6+ years in real-time 3D / simulation; Omniverse experience essential) Team fit: Owns the 3D twin platform; works alongside your existing cloud, AI, and frontend engineers.

About the role

You will build and scale living digital twins of steel fabrication factories in NVIDIA Omniverse, from ingesting factory CAD/BIM and reality-capture data into OpenUSD, to binding live operational data onto the 3D scene, to delivering it to stakeholders through GPU-accelerated browser streaming. This is a portfolio program spanning new-build and existing plants, so you will help design a reusable twin platform, not a one-off model.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and maintain factory digital twins in NVIDIA Omniverse using OpenUSD (composition, layering, schemas).

  • Develop Omniverse Kit extensions, custom applications, and UI; configure Nucleus and connectors.

  • Build a robust asset pipeline ingesting CAD/BIM (Tekla Structures, Revit, STEP, IFC) and reality-capture point clouds into optimized USD geometry.

  • Bind real-time operational and telemetry data (supplied by the integration team) to scene objects so the twin reflects live plant state.

Required

  • Strong hands-on OpenUSD (USD Python API, composition arcs, custom schemas).

  • Production experience with NVIDIA Omniverse (Kit SDK, extensions, Nucleus, connectors).

  • Real-time 3D / graphics fundamentals; strong Python and working C++.

  • CAD/BIM ingestion and geometry optimization for real-time use.

  • Deploying GPU rendering/compute workloads on cloud (AWS G-family / L40S or equivalent).

  • Experience delivering an industrial or manufacturing digital twin.

Preferred

  • Isaac Sim and robotics / discrete-event or material-flow simulation.

  • Reality-capture / point-cloud workflows (FARO, Leica, NavVis, photogrammetry).

  • MDL materials and RTX rendering.

  • Familiarity with Tekla Structures / structural steel and industrial equipment models.

  • Experience building reusable platforms replicated across multiple sites.
