Job summary

Alberta Health Services in High Level, Alberta is seeking a Diagnostic Sonographer II to coordinate daily operations of the ultrasound service area. You will lead a team of Diagnostic Sonographers and other health care professionals, ensuring services run at an optimal level and patient care remains safe and efficient.

You will participate in quality assurance, participate in research and development of sonography programs, and help develop policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program.
• Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of the Diagnostic Imaging service area.
• Organize and coordinate all technical and daily work activities for the team of Diagnostic Sonographers and other care providers.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control programs for the area.
• Assist in development of policies, procedures and guidelines.
