About the role
Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular Full-time Senior Development Assistant to join our dynamic Medical Affairs Innovation & Portfolio Management team.
Our Innovation and Portfolio Management team under the Medical Affairs and Innovation division is responsible for advancing transfusion and transplantation science and medicine by supporting a vast research and education network.
Reporting to our Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the design and execution of research and development projects, as well as supporting the internal and external dissemination of project findings. In this role, you will also contribute to the development and implementation of new laboratory assays and test methods, oversee laboratory equipment, supply, and safety programs, and mentor laboratory staff, including trainees. You will work both independently and collaboratively with the microbiology team to support the successful achievement of project objectives.
