The Lead Developer is responsible for building and supporting Global Wealth Management Systems, including trading, fee management, and reporting systems.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Lead technical decision-making for scrum teams, collaborating with solutions architects and other technical leads.
- Develop coding standards and testing approaches.
- Collaborate with the delivery lead to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed.
- Design and develop microservices based on cloud solutions such as Microsoft Azure and Google GCP.
- Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
- Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support solutions.
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met.
- Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
- Have experience in performance analysis and tuning.
- Provide production support for maintained applications.
Do you have the skills to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 5+ years of hands-on programming experience in Java frameworks, with a deep understanding of Object-Oriented techniques and Design Patterns. Familiarity with multiple external Java frameworks is an asset.
- Knowledge of SOAP or RESTful web services.
- Unix/Linux knowledge and strong shell scripting skills.
- Database experience: Oracle, MySQL; strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Understanding of functional and technical aspects of the underlying operating system, development environment, and deployment practices.
- Proficiency in business analysis, technical analysis, and design requirements.
- Experience with Wealth Management systems such as trading, fee management, and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), time management, and project management experience.
- A creative, self-starting, results-oriented, and motivated individual with solid analytical skills.
- Experience in wealth applications/trading systems is an asset.
- Technical or business certifications are assets.
- Hands-on development and support experience to lead solution development for complex technical problems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Creativity and flexibility in technical solutions in a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience with Agile and DevOps is an asset.
