A career as a senior AS400 developer in the National Bank Independent Network team involves acting as an AS400 development specialist, playing a crucial role in managing and developing computer systems. Responsibilities include managing, developing, securing, and maintaining AS400 systems, and collaborating with other teams to meet client needs and improve operational processes. Your expertise in AS400 and FTP will have a positive organizational impact.

Your Job

  1. Work closely with the product team to translate customer user stories into solutions;
  2. Collaborate with team members to deliver solutions that meet business needs;
  3. Identify and challenge existing processes to uncover defects and deficiencies;
  4. Find ways to improve operational efficiency;
  5. Implement security enhancements, such as migrating jobs from FTP to SFTP, and address security risks.

Your Team

The Vice-Presidency of the National Bank Independent Network comprises over 50 specialists working in an agile, proactive, and collaborative manner. You will be part of a large team of 20 colleagues reporting to the development director. The team values innovation, collaboration, and offers flexible work arrangements, including a hybrid work environment and adaptable schedules.

Prerequisites

  • At least 5 years of experience with AS400 and FTP
  • Applied experience with technologies/languages such as RPG/LE, COBOL/400, SQL, Query/400, QM Query, ASC Sequel, CLP/CLLE, Data queue, JIRA, Remedy, FTP, IFS, DB2, Control-M, ICF, DBU, TAATOOL
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and knowledge of JIRA
  • Ability to solve problems independently and creatively
  • Experience in problem analysis, data mapping, use case modeling, and documentation
  • Commitment to delivering quality customer service and products

Skills
