What you’ll do

As a Developer, you will have a focus on software development with the rest of our DevOpsteam on this high-profile IoT system. At the core of your strengths is your ability to see the bigpicture - you understand that your contributions are integral to keeping TELUS ahead of thetechnological curve, while enabling our customers to grow and prosper. As a Developer, youwill:

  • Work within the software development team in an AWS cloud environment. Providesoftware support to front end and back end software development team, and hardwareteams, and operational support teams as required
  • Develop and maintain new Software features, and present to stakeholders - focussed on back end, database driven applications including data processing and analysis
  • Provide support and maintenance as required
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the IoT Software system as required
Qualifications

You are the missing piece of the puzzle.

You are likely in a senior developer role now, with many of the following abilities and experience items:

  • 10+ years of recent software development experience providing development andtesting within a data processing environment
  • 7+ years of Java software development at a senior level of skill and experience
  • 5+ AWS cloud experience. Extensive knowledge in configuring and deploying software in an AWS environment. Extensive Kubernetes experience
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostGres, MongoDB, MySql, Microsoft SQL
  • Experience working with and writing restful APIs
  • Hands-on project experience using Jira, Slack, GIT repositories such as BitBucket, GitHub,GitLab
  • Experience working with Back End developers, Front End developers and QualityAssurance
  • Experience in working with Agile/DevOps methodology and CI/CD pipeline

Great-to-haves

We are especially motivated to connect with individuals with one or more of the following:

  • GWT (GWTP) software development, or other Front End tools like React or Angular
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation orAnsible
  • University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Salary Range: $98,000-$148,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefitssuch as:
