Job description

We are looking for a Senior Designer who will be responsible for motion design (motion graphics) of video content for paid media, web, and social media across all channels and departments of the company at a senior level.

This hybrid position will be based out of our head office in Toronto.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Collaborate with videographers to add titles and animation over video, implement VFX within videos, and use dynamic compositing techniques.
• Establish conceptual and creative direction in collaboration with the design team, including graphic designers, illustrators, motion graphics artists, photographers, and videographers.
• Support the Heads of Creative Design Department in ideation, production, and various tasks.
• Provide insight and creative knowledge across all content forms including web design, motion, video, digital, and social media.
• Complete post-production edits of videos for partnership deliverables.
• Produce creative concepts with clear design logic and execute fast-turnaround motion/video design requests.
• Oversee and manage video post-production projects and support daily tasks.
• Coordinate with freelancers and agencies for ongoing projects.
• Transform footage and scripts into compelling visual stories.
• Perform multimedia functions such as recording audio and duplication of audio & video.
• Collaborate with the wider creative team to lead, manage, and support ongoing projects.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Houdini, Maya.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro.
• 5+ years of experience in designing motion graphics for video.
• Experience with compositing and VFX work like paint-outs, set extensions, and masking.
• Ability to produce high-quality presentations, mock-ups, and evaluate existing assets.
