Job summary

MaintainX, a leading mobile-first work execution platform, is seeking a Design Researcher to deepen understanding of our users and translate their needs into product decisions. You’ll partner with Product, Design and Engineering to turn complex problems into clear insights that move our AI-first product forward.

You’ll own research end-to-end—scoping, planning, recruiting, running sessions, synthesizing, and presenting findings to influence strategy and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in UX research.
• Strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into well-scoped research plans.
• Experience synthesizing research into compelling presentations that influence product direction.
• Proficiency with analytics tools (Amplitude) to complement primary research.

Responsibilities

• Own research from end to end: scoping, planning, recruiting, sessions, synthesis, and presentation.
• Translate complex findings into narratives and actionable recommendations for product teams.
• Engage with users through site visits, interviews, and observation with maintenance technicians and operations teams.
• Champion customer empathy across the organization with storytelling and shared insights.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate research workflows while maintaining rigor.
• Independently scope, prioritize, and manage research projects aligned with team goals.
• Help shape how research works at MaintainX by establishing tools and rhythms for consistent user insights.
