Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead end-to-end project execution within the Enterprise Delivery Office. You will partner with business, technology, and external vendors to deliver programs on scope, on time and within budget, while maturing delivery practices.

You will drive planning, risk management, governance, and reporting for multi-region initiatives, coordinating across Technology, Risk, Finance and Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, technology, or PM.
• 7+ years of project or program management experience.
• Hands-on experience with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Strong ability to manage complex delivery plans, dependencies, and risks.
• Experience with KYC and client onboarding in regulatory contexts.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project delivery and ensure alignment to objectives, milestones, and plans.
• Coordinate with business, technology and delivery partners to manage expectations and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, RAID logs and cross-workstream tracking.
• Identify, escalate risks and issues with mitigation strategies for decision making.
• Prepare accurate status reporting forDirector and VP level forums, including financials and outcomes.
• Support governance and delivery practices within Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments.
• Track budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend; support cost control and resource planning.
• Ensure adherence to delivery frameworks, standards, audits and regulatory obligations.

The role

The Senior Delivery Manager, Enterprise Delivery Office supports Director-level leadership in the end-to-end management of projects within the Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO). This role is accountable for leading project execution, coordination across workstreams, risk and issue management, and delivery governance. The Senior Manager partners closely with business, technology, and external vendors to ensure programs are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget, while progressively maturing delivery practices and ways of working.

What will you do

• Project Delivery: Lead day-to-day planning and execution of project initiatives, ensuring alignment to approved objectives, milestones, and delivery plans.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with business, technology, and delivery partners to manage expectations, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Planning & Execution: Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, schedules, RAID logs, and dependency tracking across multiple workstreams.
• Risk & Issue Management: Identify, track, and escalate risks and issues with clear mitigation strategies and recommendations for decision-making.
• Governance & Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely status reporting for Director and VP-level forums, including financials, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Agile & Delivery Practices: Support delivery within Agile, hybrid, or waterfall environments and contribute to continuous improvement of delivery standards and practices.
• Financial & Resource Management: Track project budgets, forecasts, and vendor spend; support cost control and resource planning activities.
• Quality & Controls: Ensure adherence to Enterprise Delivery Frameworks, technology standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
• Change & Priority Management: Support scope, schedule, and priority changes by analyzing impacts and facilitating informed trade-off decisions.
• People & Capability Development: Provide coaching and mentorship to project managers and analysts; contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment.
• Risk Culture: Understand and apply the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day decision-making and delivery activities.

What do you need to succeed

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Technology, Project Management, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within financial services or large enterprises
• Hands-on experience with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex delivery plans, dependencies, and risks
• Strong subject matter expertise in KYC and client onboarding, including regulatory requirements, operational workflows, and technology-enabled delivery across front-office and enablement functions
• Experience supporting large technology or business transformation initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making
• Exposure to enterprise delivery frameworks and governance models
• PMP, ACP, or equivalent certification preferred
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
