Pattison Food Group Ltd., a Jim Pattison business, is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our Langley, BC IT team. You will maintain and optimize enterprise databases, ensuring reliability and performance across Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL environments.

This role requires 10+ years IT experience, including 5+ years as a DBA for mission‑critical production systems, plus strong Azure/AWS cloud skills, Oracle 19c RAC, and PL/SQL/T‑SQL expertise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with minimum 5 years in a DBA role on mission-critical production environments.
• Proven enterprise database management experience in Azure and/or AWS.
• Experience with Oracle 19c+ in RAC environments.
• Experience with MS-SQL 2008/2012/2014/2019/2022.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of encryption technologies and best practices.

Responsabilités

• Provide level 2/3 database support for development, QA, and production environments.
• Plan and implement database upgrades, maintenance fixes, and patches.
• Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies with long-term retention.
• Research and implement improvements to maximize efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Architecture/Development/Infrastructure on new products and enhancements.
• Mentor peers and share domain expertise; provide on-call support when required.
