Job summary

Strategize it Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with strong SQL Server expertise to join our team in a contract role based in Winnipeg or Toronto. The ideal candidate will manage, optimize, and secure enterprise SQL Server databases while supporting critical systems in a fast-paced environment.

The position is full-time on a 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent, offering hybrid work with 3 days in office per week. Minimum 5 years of experience required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional DBA experience.
• University degree in Computer Science from a recognized institution.
• Strong hands-on SQL Server experience, including database administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and database optimization.
• Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
