Hive.co is seeking a senior data engineer to design and operate scalable data and ML infrastructure in a fully remote Canada-wide role. Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on data engineering in production
• Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed data and ML systems
• Foundations in ML (supervised/unsupervised, evaluation metrics)
• Feature engineering with Python (pandas, scikit-learn)
• Familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Production ML pipelines and MLOps practices
• Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes

Responsibilities

• Build and own a cloud-native big data platform supporting millions of attendees and billions of interactions
• Build and own ML platform infrastructure for models from experiment to production
• Own end-to-end data pipeline from Change Data Capture to validation and denormalization
• Define data products and SLAs for internal teams and customers
• Develop agentic systems and AI-powered pipelines for data processing and enrichment
