Responsibilities (Text Only)
- Primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, owning and driving technical wins for security opportunities and engaging with other teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle. Engaging partners in sell-with scenarios and supporting their technical capabilities is key to scaling solution delivery.
- Deep technical understanding of Data Security architectures, solutions/technologies including Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).
- Coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to understand opportunities, competitive scenarios, and engagements to focus on, driving to own and win the technical decisions.
- Remediate blockers; lead and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security and adjacent technologies. Engage proactively and independently with customers; build credibility as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Security; leverage customer references; and drive customer intent to adopt and hand off to customer success for post-sales deployment.
- Develop strategies and recommendations to improve clients' data security posture, shape technical win plans, and tailor Microsoft messaging to the audience for security opportunities.
- Enhance team capabilities for cloud-native data security patterns and architectures; develop differentiated competitive strategies for assigned customers.
- Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions; explain, demonstrate, and architect solutions to address customer security challenges and priorities.
- Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts; present and apply architecture patterns; prove capabilities and integration into customer environments; support cross-workload Microsoft solutions for data security.
- Leverage insights and coach teams to align new or evolving technology with customer needs.

Qualifications (Text Only)
- Required/minimum qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of experience; OR 7+ years of experience; OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years’ experience developing and delivering customer demos/proof of concepts for Security across competitive offerings.
- Additional or preferred qualifications: 8+ years of related experience; 6+ years experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures; certifications in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Cloud Security; experience in consultative technical selling and Challenger mindset; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge of industry security standards/regulations; experience presenting technology solutions; hands-on technical knowledge of relevant products and solutions.

- The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year. Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
