Job description

Responsibilities (Text Only)
  • Primary technical point of contact for potential customers during the sales process, owning and driving technical wins for security opportunities and engaging with teams within and outside the organization throughout the sales cycle.
  • Engage partners in sell-with scenarios and support their technical capabilities to scale solution delivery.
  • Deep technical understanding of Data Security architectures, solutions, and technologies including Microsoft Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB).
  • Coordinate weekly with sellers and managers to understand opportunities, competitive scenarios, and engagements, focusing on driving technical decisions.
  • Remediate blockers; lead and ensure technical wins for Microsoft Security and related technologies.
  • Build credibility with customers as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Security, proactively engaging and reaching out independently, using customer references, and facilitating post-sales deployment handoff.
  • Develop strategies and recommendations to improve clients' data security posture, shape technical win plans, and tailor Microsoft messaging to the audience.
  • Enhance team capabilities in cloud-native data security patterns and develop differentiated strategies for customers.
  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, architecture design sessions, and explain solutions to address customer security challenges.
  • Demonstrate and oversee proof of concepts, present architecture patterns, prove capabilities, and support integration into customer environments, supporting cross-workload support for Microsoft solutions.
  • Leverage insights and coach teams to align new or evolving technology with customer needs.

Qualifications (Text Only)

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field AND 6+ years of experience.
  • 7+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
  • Or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience developing and delivering customer demos/proofs of concept for Security.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, consulting, or technology delivery.
  • 6+ years experience with cloud/hybrid/on-premises infrastructures, architecture, migrations, and management.
  • Certification in Microsoft 365 Security Administration or Cloud Security.
  • Proven experience in consultative technical selling and Challenger mindset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with innovative thinking.
  • Deep understanding of data security standards/regulations like HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, etc., and frameworks like IGRM.
  • Experience presenting technology solutions through customer interactions and design sessions.
  • Technical depth and hands-on expertise with relevant products and solutions.

The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $128,000 - CAD $222,400 per year. Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
