Job summary

Government Services Integration Cluster in Toronto seeks a Senior Data Scientist to lead governance and data marketplace initiatives. You will configure IDMC governance capabilities, build data marketplaces, and collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate governance policies into scalable solutions.

The role requires strong SQL skills, extensive Informatica experience, and a background in data governance frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data management, metadata management, or data governance solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on Informatica experience.
• Experience implementing Informatica products: Data Catalog, Governance & Catalog, CDGC, Marketplace.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, MDM, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop a phased Governance & Marketplace POC and support MVP scope.
• Configure metadata ingestion, cataloging, and governance workflows.
• Establish business glossary and stewardship workflows; enable data lineage and quality checks.
• Collaborate with Azure Data Platform, SQL Server, Power BI, and other sources; participate in Agile ceremonies.
