Job summary

Autodesk is seeking a data scientist to join the Construction Solutions data team in Vancouver. The role focuses on applying data mining, analytics and machine learning to understand customer usage, adoption and outcomes, while guiding a team of data scientists and analysts to deliver actionable insights across product, business, adoption and sales operations.

Qualifications

MS/PhD in Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Statistics/Analytics, Computer Science, or other relevant fields.
Proficient in Python.
Experience with relational SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
Experience with big data platforms (Hadoop, Spark, Hive).
Experience in statistical programming tools (R, Matlab, SAS, Python toolkits).
Experience with data science toolkits (pandas, Jupyter, scikit, TensorFlow).
Familiarity with statistics concepts and analysis.
Familiarity with ML techniques: classification, clustering, regularization, optimization, dimensionality reduction.
Experience with reporting programs: Domo, Looker, Tableau, PowerBI.
Experience in data visualization tools.
Experience in customer analytics.
Excellent communication: explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Apply data mining, analytics and ML methods to understand how customers use and adopt products.
Lead junior/senior data scientists and analysts.
Build statistical models (predictive/descriptive) for customer lifetime value and retention.
Collaborate to drive data-driven decisions across product, business, adoption and sales.
