A growing tech firm is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Scientist to support AI-driven automation projects. This is a full-time, remote role open to candidates across Canada, with a preference for those near Vancouver for occasional in-person meetings.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Test and compare ML models to select optimal approaches
Validate model performance with robust metrics
Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and insights
Deploy ML models into scalable, reliable production systems
Monitor and optimize deployed models over time
Collaborate with engineering and ML team members
Stay informed on advancements in ML, AI, and data science
REQUIREMENTS :
3+ years of experience in a data science or ML role
Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs)
Proven track record deploying ML models into production
Skilled across the full ML lifecycle : data prep, modeling, deployment
Proficient in Python and building APIs (e.g., FastAPI)
Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
Familiar with SQL, NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB), and data pipeline tools
Knowledge of ML CI / CD, version control, and workflow automation
Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker / Kubernetes
Strong communication and a self-driven mindset
