Job summary

FCC, a federal Crown corporation focused on Canadian agriculture and food financing, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead complex analytics initiatives and develop models that translate data into clear business insights.

You will determine technical direction, validate models, and mentor analytics professionals while collaborating with stakeholders in a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree in a related domain or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum six years of experience in data science, analytics, economics, finance, corporate and commercial credit rating, risk management, credit risk modelling, credit portfolio management or information technology.
• Extensive knowledge of one or more relevant domains and advanced analytics methodologies.
• Proven expertise in predictive and descriptive analytics techniques and statistical modelling.
• Demonstrated proficiency with SAS, MS Power BI, AWS tools, R and Python.
• Strong mathematical or statistical background.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to non-expert stakeholders.

Leverage your expertise in advanced analytics, statistical modelling and data science to unlock insights from complex internal and external data and support informed decision-making across FCC.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll lead complex analytics initiatives, determine technical approaches and tools, and develop models that help explain past performance and project future scenarios.
