As a Senior Data Governance Advisor for Business Services, you play a strategic role in developing data governance maturity in the Business Services sector. You serve as an expert and resource person to promote optimal, secure and compliant use of data to help reach business objectives. You help teams apply the governance frameworks by ensuring consistency with regulatory requirements, internal policies and best practices. You work to optimize processes, implement effective controls and manage data risks. You develop and update performance standards, tools and indicators while supporting teams in data quality, reporting and the coordination of data valorization projects. You draw on your communication skills to engage parties involved and actively contribute to the sector’s data strategy, taking into account the technological, human and regulatory facets. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Act as an expert advisor to support the rollout of the federated data governance model, including the development of data management standards, tools, processes, controls and practices.

  • Contribute to the planning and priority management of data governance mandates, while ensuring their progress and completion.

  • Support teams with data valorization and identification of new opportunities by promoting responsible governance that’s aligned with the needs of members and clients.

  • Coordinate data identification in the executive division’s processes as part of the operational control cycle.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational frameworks, while helping teams identify data risks and analyze gaps.

  • Contribute to the governance and process-related elements of the sector data strategy while ensuring consistency with technological, informational, people and change-management aspects.

  • Monitor and measure the performance of data governance practices, including process maturity and data quality.

  • Use and maintain governance tools (IKC, data quality issues log, data quality dashboard, etc.).

  • Foster cross-disciplinary collaboration by leading effective conversations and clearly communicating governance frameworks.
