Based in Toronto, you will own the data warehouse, pipelines, and semantic layer enabling analysts to focus on insights. You will work with Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift/Databricks and dbt, shaping data models, enforcing quality, and guiding other engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering or analytics
• Experience integrating fragmented source systems across multiple entities
• Strong SQL and Python proficiency with modern data warehouses
• Ability to translate business needs into a usable dataset for analysts
• Comfort working with non-technical staff to define field meaning

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the operational data warehouse and ingestion pipelines
• Integrate source systems across acquired entities and regions
• Map charts of accounts and service taxonomies to a common model
• Own data quality, validation, reconciliation, and monitoring
• Build the semantic layer for BI tools and analysts
• Set technical standards and mentor a junior engineer
