Job summary

Novisto is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for the Analytics Platform to own the data foundation powering analytics, benchmarking, and AI products. You will architect the lakehouse, design ingestion pipelines, and model datasets while collaborating with Tech Leads, PMs, and ESG Data Ops to ensure reliable, well-documented, query-ready assets.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering or backend engineering experience, with 2+ years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Core skills include expert-level SQL and strong Python proficiency; familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, GCP), CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and DevOps practices.
• Produced experience designing and operating a production lakehouse or cloud data warehouse (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery) with open table formats (Delta, Iceberg, Hudi); hands-on with dbt and orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
• Solid grounding in dimensional and analytical data modelling; experience with batch and streaming/CDC ingestion, late-arriving data, schema drift and backfills.
• Operational mindset to integrate AI-assisted development tools; experience with event-driven and service-oriented architectures in agile environments.
• Bonus: multi-tenant B2B SaaS, ESG-focused data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design lakehouse architecture and data storage layouts.
• Model curated and semantic analytics datasets; design batch, incremental, and CDC ingestion with clear data contracts.
• Build and operate robust ETL/ELT pipelines with idempotent reprocessing and backfill strategy.
• Develop data quality tooling and platform observability, including lineage, SLAs, and cost telemetry.
• Collaborate with engineering leads and product teams; mentor data engineers across squads.
• Design backend services and APIs to expose curated datasets with multi-tenant data isolation.
