Job summary

DEPT is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for a 3-month fixed-term contract in Ontario, Canada, preferably Toronto. You will own complex data workflows, design scalable data solutions, and bridge raw information to actionable marketing insights.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow or dbt, optimizing data models in cloud environments, and mentoring engineers to maintain high standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in a professional environment.
• Deep proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Knowledge of data modeling techniques (e.g., Star Schema, Data Vault).
• Ability to act fast and adapt to the evolving needs of global brands.

This is a 3 month fixed term salaried contract, located in Ontario Canada. Preferably in Toronto.

About You:

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $65 hourly. Rate is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, expertise, and organizational impact. This is based on a 40-hour workweek and leveling. Keep in mind, we’re flexible.
