Job summary

Trisura in Toronto is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, build, and operation of scalable data solutions within the Data & Analytics team. You will translate business requirements into production-grade data products across Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and SQL Server, partnering with governance, analysts, and stakeholders to enable trusted analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in data engineering, data integration, data warehousing, or analytics engineering.
• Experience delivering end-to-end data solutions rather than isolated components.
• Insurance/regulated environment experience is strongly preferred.
• Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data services, and Power BI proficiency strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy and support scalable data pipelines and data solutions.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT processes with modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Kimball/Dimensional models).
• Collaborate with governance, analytics, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reusable data products.
• Implement monitoring, data quality, lineage, and security controls across the data platform.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and code reviews to ensure maintainability and reliability.
