We empower thousands of digitally-focused companies to deliver outcomes and exceptional campaign performance every day. Founded with a vision to be more than just an advertising platform, StackAdapt is a hub of innovation, imagination, and creativity.

We have an exciting opportunity in the newly formed Enterprise Data Office (EDO), which aims to serve business leaders and stakeholders with trusted reporting and governed self-service analytics. Reporting to the Director of EDO, the Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for data architecture, pipelines, operations, and platform management of the data lake and enterprise data warehouse currently under development.

This role involves assessing business requirements gathered by the Business Data Analysis team to formulate comprehensive data solutions that meet or exceed BI needs. Responsibilities include building ingestion pipelines from multiple sources, architecting data models for immediate and broader analytical purposes, and collaborating with BI engineers to ensure data consumption needs are met.

StackAdapt is a Remote-First company, open to candidates located anywhere in Canada.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Managing data architecture, engineering, and operations within the Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse (Snowflake), including building reliable ingestion pipelines from various data sources.
  2. Orchestrating data pipelines via batch, near-real-time, or real-time operations to ensure seamless execution.
  3. Advising on data architecture, modeling, operations, and platform decisions.
  4. Supporting daily operations by monitoring alerts, troubleshooting, and remediating production issues.
What You'll Bring to the Table
  1. Minimum 5 years of experience leading data engineering in an Enterprise Data Warehouse environment.
  2. Hands-on experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and big data formats (e.g., Delta Lake, Parquet, Avro).
  3. Knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals (e.g., Kimball/Inmon, dimensional modeling, conformed dimensions, SCDs).
  4. Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS/Azure/GCP, with knowledge of container technologies like Kubernetes and networking fundamentals.
  5. Proficiency in building ETL/ELT pipelines using scripting languages (e.g., Spark, Python, Java, SQL stored procedures) and integration platforms (e.g., PowerCenter, DataStage, Talend).
  6. Experience orchestrating data operations with tools like Apache Airflow, Cron, Astronomer, and managing infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.

At StackAdapt, we value diversity and inclusivity. Regardless of your background, identity, or abilities, you are welcome. Please inform our Talent team of any accommodations needed during the interview process.
