Job description

We are seeking an experiencedData Engineerto support critical data and analytics initiatives. This role demands deep technical expertise inPython, SAS, SQL, and modern data architecture, along with hands-on delivery experience. Candidates must be capable of jumping into complex projects and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes usingPython and/or SAS.
• Work on projects with established codebases—must be comfortable navigating and contributing to existing production code.
• Write complex and efficientSQL queries, with expert-level understanding of data relationships and transformations.
• Support and enhancedata warehouse and cloud infrastructure, including orchestration and data architecture.
• Collaborate on projects involvingGen AItools or methodologies applied to real-world data workflows (preferred).
• Troubleshoot data issues and work closely with analysts, scientists, and engineering teams to ensure data reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ yearsof hands-on data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency inPython and/or SAS– must be able to contribute immediately without training.
• AdvancedSQLskills – comfortable with performance tuning and relational data modeling.
• Experience withdata warehousing,cloud platforms(AWS, GCP, or Azure), anddata orchestrationtools.
• Practical understanding of data pipelines, architecture, and enterprise data flow.
• Demonstrated experience delivering data engineering projects in production environments.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure toGenerative AIsolutions used in data workflows (e.g., automated documentation, data classification, or metadata generation).
• Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills– able to understand project needs and explain complex concepts clearly.
• Experience in Agile or fast-paced development environments.
