The Audit Technologies group is part of the national audit centre, audit support team. The group implements new technologies in the audit practice and provides digital and data & analytics services to our clients. It works as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing and supporting KPMG proprietary and third-party data & analytics solutions to our teams.

Data consultants will work as part of the Audit Technologies team to assist with the automation of key business processes using Microsoft PowerApps and PowerAutomate. They also provide client-facing teams with critical support in data analysis, reporting and data visualization. This work enables us to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.

What you will do

  • Automate key business processes and audit procedures using Microsoft PowerApps and PowerAutomate workflows
  • Identify issues / challenges and provide recommendations, opportunities and mitigation strategies to engagement teams
  • Work with unique data analytic programs to deliver innovative solutions to our engagement team
  • Process large volumes of client data for import into KPMG proprietary applications as part of the ETL process
  • Build long-term business relationships with client teams through engagement delivery and networking in professional organizations
  • Participate in business development by identifying new opportunities and assisting with proposal development
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with professionals with a non-technical background
  • Create and roll out bespoke client discreet D&A routines

Must-haves :

  • Diploma or bachelor’s in computer science, Database Management or Programming (or similar programs)
  • Proficiency and knowledge with Microsoft PowerApps and PowerAutomate
  • Strong Statistical Knowledge and Mathematical Foundations
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) - ability to work with multiple stakeholders, communicate priorities and manage expectations
  • Resourcefulness and creative problem-solving skills - you are a proactive person and always come up with new ideas and ways of working forward
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of data extraction, transformation, and loading tools and utilities
  • This position requires written and oral fluency in English

Highly Preferred :

  • Proficiency and knowledge with data management and processing within Azure Databricks
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, Python, R
  • Experience with databases including SQL, MySQL, Oracle etc.
  • Experience with SQL code scripting, including creation / implementation of APIs and debugging ability
