Serverfarm Critical Facilities Services (SFCFS) delivers uninterrupted power and cooling to data centers and provides remote monitoring services to internal sites and external clients. This role combines customer-facing and team-facing responsibilities and is a key contributor to the successful operation of a data center site and/or campus.

Responsibilities (Key Accountabilities)
  • Serve as an operations SME for a major area of operations (e.g., electrical or mechanical) and provide oversight and mentorship on related tasks
  • Understand and operate equipment and systems across all disciplines (electrical, mechanical) and their interactions within a data center
  • Operate systems and equipment in accordance with Serverfarm, industry, and OSHA safety practices
  • Support inspection and supervision of critical environment-related facility equipment (controls, HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
  • Monitor performance from central monitoring locations (Facility Operations Centers) for maintenance and operations of equipment and understand risks to other subsystems
  • Respond to abnormal conditions and coordinate corrective repairs with little or no supervision
  • Collaborate with site/campus leadership to gather information, create incident timelines, and perform root-cause analyses and action items as required
  • Develop or follow emergency operating procedures, methods of procedure, standard operating procedures, and digital SOPs to support operations and incident response
  • Coordinate with Construction & Project teams to ensure sites meet required statutory and mandatory requirements
  • Ensure all site MEP infrastructure operates within defined capacity standards
  • Coordinate with peers in the global structure to align processes as appropriate
  • Support Change, Incident Management, and Problem Resolution processes for the area of responsibility
  • Develop talent within the site/campus team and support major and minor project works
  • Promote healthy and safe working conditions and support training goals for site/campus personnel
Qualifications
  • Required Skills: Associate\'s Degree or technical trade certification (e.g., military, trade school) or Journeyman level training
  • 5+ years of experience in mission-critical services (e.g., high-availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
Preferred Skills
  • 4-year degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical)
  • 3 years of experience in mission-critical services (e.g., high-availability environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields)
Compensation and Benefits

$38 - $55 an hour
