Job summary

Public & Business Services & Procurement | Services au public et aux entreprises & Approvisionnement in Ontario is seeking a Senior Application Component Developer to lead data analytics initiatives that support Emergency Health services and drive digital transformation across the province.

You will collaborate across the Health Services I&IT Cluster, Emergency Health I&IT Solutions, and Technology Management Branch, leveraging Power BI, Azure, and SQL Server to deliver real-time dashboards and

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of large-scale systems analysis, design and development.
• Proficiency with SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSMS for data querying and transformation.
• Experience developing ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics data integration.
• Proven experience designing, developing and deploying dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Experience with real-time data integration and streaming technologies.
• Expertise in DAX and Power Query for BI solutions.
• Familiarity with data governance, quality standards and securing sensitive data.
• SDLC/ALM expertise and strong senior-level software development lifecycle experience.
• Experience with web services and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical consulting for interactive applications and BI solutions using Power BI and Azure.
• Design, develop and maintain data solutions with Azure SQL, Functions, Event Hub, Streaming Analytics, Data Factory and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server objects, data structures, and transformation processes.
• Lead the design and implementation of data models, dashboards, reports and analytics for decision-making.
• Provide technical leadership on software development and data integration initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and support enterprise data and reporting solutions.
• Identify training and knowledge transfer requirements for project teams and stakeholders.
• Coordinate collection and interpretation of system and business data for improvements and deliverables.
