Job summary

McKesson Canada is seeking a Product Owner, Commercial Data to partner with the Data & Analytics Hub and lead data integration, modelling and quality within the team. You will act as the primary business partner to ensure advanced analytics on performance, customer, and market trends.

You will collaborate with BI Analysts and stakeholders to develop data models, standardize data flows, and guide analytics initiatives while ensuring governance and data quality are maintained.

Qualifications

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Data and Analytics space in different capacities.
• Good knowledge of SQL (CTE’s, window functions and joins), Python, R and DAX.
• Knowledge and experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, CRM (Salesforce) and SAP.
• ETL / Data Warehousing understanding.
• Hands on experience with Power BI.
• Advanced knowledge of the MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong attention to detail.
• High sense of urgency with ability to multi-task, work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with organization and autonomy.
• Ability to collaborate with various levels of management and employees.
• Experience with data quality tools is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to champion change at all levels.
• Ability to travel when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as a data partner and SME for BI programming to support Marketing & Commercial Operations.
• Gather data needs and develop a comprehensible data model with BI Analysts.
• Develop and maintain data models, data flows and data sets per governance policies.
• Define processes, standards and guidelines for data models and flows.
• Participate in Enterprise Data Governance as a Data Steward to document data elements.
• Serve as primary contact between the Spoke and Canada Data & Analytics Hub.
• Consolidate and prioritize requests to the Hub.
• Advise on Data & Analytics decisions as a data domain expert.
• Contribute to enterprise data strategy and data governance.
• Validate data sources, calculations and outputs for initiatives.
• Disseminate information between the Hub and the Spoke.
