Job summary

MCAP, Canada's leading independent Mortgage Finance company, seeks a Senior Data Analyst to serve as SF Ops' primary data analyst and report developer. You will extract and manipulate data using SQL, build dashboards with Power BI, and develop automated reporting solutions while collaborating with business units and IT.

You will partner with leadership to ensure data accuracy, document processes, and explore opportunities to optimize operations through data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in data role preferred.
• Experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Expert proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and aggregation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and visualization tools.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and working in an Agile environment.
• Experience in Cross Departmental Impact Analysis.
• Experience in Business Case Development.
• Experience with report automation through SSIS packages and SSRS.
• Extensive knowledge of core application systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and automate reporting to improve efficiency and data accessibility.
• Translate business needs into clear reporting and system requirements, ensuring proper documentation.
• Collaborate with business units and IT to develop solutions, resolve issues, and assess impacts.
• Extract, integrate, and analyze data from multiple sources using SQL while ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
• Develop automated reporting solutions (e.g., SSIS, SSRS) and support data optimization initiatives.
• Review and validate analysis outputs, providing feedback and supporting sign-off processes.
• Build and maintain cross-functional relationships and handle confidential information.
