Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation seeks an analytics professional to support merchandise procurement through advanced data reporting, modeling, and governance. You will work with enterprise data and indices, build dashboards, and ensure data quality while enabling strategic decision-making.

You will lead data pipelines, support EDW migrations, and foster self-service analytics across procurement teams, driving better vendor negotiations and forecasting decisions.

Qualifications

• Expert SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, and validating large datasets.
• Extensive experience building and maintaining reports, data modeling and dashboard visualization.
• Expert experience of dimensional modeling concepts, fact and dimension tables and star schema design.
• Expert experience developing automated data pipelines using SQL, Knime or similar technologies.

Job description

What you’ll do:

• You will work extensively with CTC enterprise data, international commodity indices, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide reporting, analytical, and data management support for merchandise procurement. This includes cost indices and projections, vendor funds analysis, vendor spend analytics, and the integration of multiple internal and external data sources to support strategic decision-making.
• You will champion data quality, data integrity, and governance standards across procurement datasets, ensuring information is accurate, reliable, consistent, and actionable. Through effective data stewardship, management practices and PI planning participation, you will help build trusted data assets that support reporting, forecasting, vendor performance analysis, and decision support models.
• These reports, data products, and analytical models will enable CTC merchandise teams to negotiate more effectively with vendors through deeper insights into procurement performance and market conditions. Leveraging modern analytics platforms, AI technologies, and fact-based reporting, you will enable more effective vendor negotiations, optimize sourcing decisions, and enhance predictive decision-making capabilities.
• You will help lead the Procurement team into the future by adopting and leveraging emerging AI, architect & lead all EDW to iHub transition efforts and applying advanced analytics technologies. You will also contribute to the development of robust data architecture, data integration frameworks, and self-service analytics capabilities that improve business agility and operational efficiency. You will also support Enterprise Sourcing Management (ESM) with data migration and data ETL efforts.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 3+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, marketing analytics, performance measurement, or a related field.
• Expert SQL skills with experience querying, transforming, and validating large datasets.
• Extensive experience building & maintaining reports, data modeling and dashboard visualization.
• Expert experience of dimensional modeling concepts, fact and dimension tables and star schema design
• Expert experience developing automated data pipelines using SQL, Knime or similar technologies.
• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or similar modern analytics platforms is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Broadband Salary Range:

$53,000 – $88,000.
Ourtypical _hiring range_is between $53,000 and $70,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements. For critical roles, the compensation offering will be reviewed to ensure alignment with market rate and conditions and the unique value you bring to the role.
