The role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a strong technical foundation and strategic vision to lead advanced analytics initiatives in regulated industries—particularly healthcare. This role requires deep hands-on expertise with analytics, tag management, and customer data platforms (CDPs), along with experience navigating privacy regulations such as HIPAA. You will architect data-driven strategies across digital ecosystems, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and value delivery through robust data collection and activation frameworks.

The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of digital analytics and martech platforms (agnostic to vendor), is comfortable with JavaScript, and has led implementations in complex environments involving web, mobile, and cross-channel marketing setups.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and deployment of measurement strategies using analytics and tag management platforms-ensuring robust data quality, privacy compliance, and future scalability.
  • Architect and oversee data layer designs, event tracking schemas, and audience segmentation frameworks, using JavaScript where necessary to support customization and troubleshooting.
  • Implement and integrate Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), including use cases for identity resolution, data unification, audience activation, and downstream integrations with marketing platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA and related healthcare privacy standards when handling PHI or sensitive data across digital touchpoints.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders—strategy, engineering, compliance, and marketing—to align technical execution with business goals.
  • Mentor and support a team of analysts and technical specialists, elevating the team's technical maturity and delivery standards.
  • Translate data into strategic insights through reporting ecosystems, automated dashboards, and executive-level narratives.
  • Monitor emerging trends in analytics, data privacy, and martech architecture to ensure clients remain compliant and competitive.

Must Have Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in digital analytics, data collection strategy, and marketing technology execution, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with tag management platforms (e.g., Tealium, Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager, or equivalent) and analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics 4, Amplitude, Mixpanel, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Proven expertise in CDP implementation and management (e.g., Segment, Freshpaint), including schema design, event mapping, and identity resolution.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript for technical configuration, debugging, and platform extension in tag management and analytics contexts.
  • Demonstrated success working with healthcare clients and navigating HIPAA-compliant data strategies.
  • Experience developing robust tagging frameworks, scalable measurement plans, and consent strategies.
  • Ability to lead technical conversations while clearly communicating value to business stakeholders and executives.

Nice To Have Qualifications

  • Experience with Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) such as Sitecore, Optimizely, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Adobe Experience Cloud. Understanding of consent management platforms (CMPs) and how they integrate with CDPs and tag managers. Exposure to server-side tracking and cloud deployment environments (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) is a plus.

If you do not meet all the listed qualifications or have gaps in your experience, we still encourage you to apply. At Valtech, we recognize that talent comes in many forms, and we value diverse perspectives and a willingness to learn.
