Help lead the City of Toronto’s approach to data science and data visualization through work on our enterprise data platform.
In this role, you’ll provide technical support, expertise, and lead data cleaning, transformation, analysis, and visualization to deliver insights and support evidence-based decision making. You’ll work on projects that bring transparency and insights for internal teams and the public via dashboards on toronto.ca.
You’ll join us at an exciting time as we establish a foundation for the City’s Enterprise Data Platform. You’ll be part of the Data Integration and Access team within the Enterprise Data and Artificial Intelligence unit of the Technology Services Division.
With a focus on supporting data analytics projects, you will also be enhancing the capabilities of the City’s Enterprise Data Platform. You’ll work with a team of data modelers, engineers, and visualization specialists to modernize Toronto’s data infrastructure and enable broader insights.
Your responsibilities include data source analysis, reviewing business processes, establishing data pipelines, building dashboards, and implementing solutions using cloud tools.
Opportunities include cross-training in cloud data analytics tools (e.g., AWS Glue, GCP Dataflow, Azure Data Factory), and contributing to the team’s cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.
