Headquartered in Montreal, Behaviour Interactive is at the forefront of the gaming industry, crafting unforgettable experiences across PC, console, and mobile platforms. We’re a dynamic, independent studio of over 1200 passionate employees, with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK–North & South). Our day to day revolves around two core business focuses: Services and Original Games. Our Services team collaborates with gaming and entertainment giants like Disney, Sony, Activision, and Nintendo, delivering exceptional work-for-hire development and pioneering immersive location-based entertainment (LBE). Meanwhile, our Original Games unit pushes our creative limits, with our signature IPs, including the iconic Dead by Daylight. Join us and be a part of the future of interactive entertainment!

At Behaviour Interactive, we believe in giving everyone a fair shot. We embrace a diverse and creative environment where everyone is celebrated. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will work hand-in-hand with our product and design team to define the right data to collect, establish best practices for its implementation, and ensure that our live operations are informed by actionable insights. Your expertise will play a crucial role in shaping our product direction and optimizing our games for our targeted market.

In this role you will:
  • Collaborate with the product and design team to understand feature goals, user journeys, and data requirements;
  • Design and specify events to measure player behavior and product performance;
  • Work closely with tech and data engineering teams to ensure data quality and consistency from implementation to ingestion;
  • Translate raw data into clear and actionable insights by querying and analyzing large datasets, performing ad-hoc analyses, and uncovering opportunities for game improvement;
  • Build dashboards and segment the player base to better understand engagement and retention;
  • Present and communicate findings to various stakeholders and departments, fostering a data-driven mindset across live operations;
  • Shape live operations strategies by analyzing the performance of in-game events, special offers, economies, and experiments;
  • Define key KPIs and metrics to ensure the viability and long-term success of our projects;
  • Implement processes and documentation to improve data governance across games;
  • Educate and advocate for data-driven decision-making, ensuring analytics play a pivotal role in optimizing game development and live operations.
What we’re looking for:
  • Industry experience or equivalent, with proven interest in and knowledge of live service video games;
  • Expertise in the field of analytics and ease to work with different statistical methods;
  • Excellent knowledge of how to use databases, particularly complicated data processing of large data sets with SQL and NoSQL;
  • Excellent data visualization skills;
  • Autonomy and excellent organization skills;
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity.
