This is a highly visible and cross-collaborative role at Viafoura, so we are looking for someone with a strong ability to work with all functions and levels within an organization both internally and externally & inspire a positive change through value realization and “aha” moments.

Reports to : Director, Engineering

Key responsibilities :

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Develop predictive models and forecasting algorithms to support business planning
  • Create comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate findings to stakeholders at all levels
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to support urgent business questions and strategic decisions
  • Design and conduct complex statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities

Data Management & Quality

  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across multiple data sources and systems
  • Establish data quality standards and monitoring procedures
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data infrastructure
  • Create interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Quicksight and Superset or any other related tools
  • Build automated reporting systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Design executive-level summary reports and detailed operational dashboards
  • Present findings to senior leadership and recommend strategic actions

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with customer success, product, marketing, finance, and the rest of the engineering teams to understand business needs
  • Translate business requirements into analytical approaches and methodologies
  • Support A / B testing initiatives and experimental design
  • Provide analytical expertise for strategic projects and initiatives
  • Mentor and guide intermediate data analysts
  • Lead analytical projects from conception to implementation
  • Establish best practices for data analysis and documentation
  • Contribute to the development of the analytics team and processes

Requirements :

  • 1-2 years of position-related experience; preferably 2 to 4 years of position-related experience
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Quicksight, Superset
  • Experience querying databases with SQL for data analysis (specifically Snowflake & MySQL)
  • Excellent team-player with ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, able to report and present findings

Nice To Haves :

  • Experience using statistical computer languages, e.g. Python or R
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g. regression, probability distributions, statistical tests) and experience with application
