Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across processes in Toronto. Responsibilities include strategic development, managing data/reporting solutions, and cross-functional collaboration. Candidates should have a university degree in Business or Science and at least 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This is a 1-year contract position with a focus on leading strategic projects.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 8 years of leading strategic projects and managing data/reporting solutions.
  • Experience supervising and influencing staff, including non-direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a strategic perspective on the development of systems, processes, and controls.
  • Liaise with GIS and third-party vendors to propose solutions for data processing issues.
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic operational plans.

Skills

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of Project Management methodologies

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide a strategic perspective on the development of systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of GR&D; improve productivity and reflect corporate performance.
  2. Liaise with GIS and select third-party technical vendors to propose and implement solutions for systems, reports, and data processing issues.
  3. Support the development and implementation of GR&D strategic and fiscal operational plans, including resource and capacity planning; manage cross-functional inputs and reporting.
  4. Create and improve tools for leadership to monitor submissions, approvals, launches, and pipeline health.
  5. Manage data alignment across business areas supporting a holistic view of the global Apotex portfolio.
  6. Support project prioritization and execution through risk management, issue resolution, and resource allocation.
  7. Oversee communities of practice to support key business processes within GR&D for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  8. Use interpersonal skills to influence decision-making across teams.
  9. Identify issues and take corrective actions, consulting with relevant organizational members.
  10. Build trust-based relationships through open communication and seek feedback for personal development.
  11. Promote a culture of trust, employee development, and growth aligned with core values.
  12. Work safely and collaboratively to achieve outcomes.
  13. Adhere to all compliance programs, including ethics, quality, safety, and HR policies.

Education
