Senior Data Analyst

We drive large-scale, complex, and high-visibility technology projects and programs and are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join our team and help drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What you will be doing
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions and prototypes using enterprise cloud environments.
- Design and develop KPIs, metrics, and analytical views to support reporting, predictive modeling, and machine learning initiatives.
- Build and maintain high-quality datasets and data products that power dashboards, AI tools, applications, and data science workflows.
- Apply Modern Data Stack technologies to ingest, transform, and model data for advanced analytics and experimentation.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to the long-term roadmap for Rogers’ network data assets, ensuring alignment with analytics and data science goals.
- Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure data products meet business and technical requirements.
- Participate in quarterly and annual planning cycles to align data initiatives with business priorities and budget constraints.
- Support ad hoc analytical projects and deep dives to address emerging business questions or performance issues.
- Work within Agile Scrum teams to define user stories, prioritize backlog items, and ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or building data products.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Hands-on experience with programming languages and tools such as SQL, Python, PySpark, Spark, Splunk.
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, Databricks, PowerBI, Snowflake, Splunk) and familiarity with the Modern Data Stack.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and the ability to work with both structured and unstructured data.
- Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps pipelines and CI/CD processes for deploying data science models and analytics solutions.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including roles such as Product Owner and Scrum Master, and experience working in Agile teams.
- Understanding of internet provider technologies such as Wi-Fi, DOCSIS, Zigbee, LTE, and device management protocols like TR-069, TR-181, TR-104.
- Ability to translate business problems into technical requirements and guide data engineers and analysts in building scalable data products.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement and automation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Comfortable presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Passion for data, curiosity to explore new technologies, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or XGBoost for building predictive models.
- Understanding of network performance metrics and how they relate to customer experience (e.g., latency, throughput, signal strength).
- Experience working with large-scale telemetry data from connected devices or IoT platforms.
