Contribute to the success of the global Cyber Threat Intelligence function by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives aligned with the team’s business strategies. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Conduct research and analyze emerging cyber security threats, assessing their potential impact on the Bank.
- Create quality technical papers documenting security threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support initiatives providing security-focused recommendations based on intelligence findings.
- Communicate situational awareness and technical intelligence effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Consider the Bank’s risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decisions.
- Operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct, and global sales principles, ensuring business controls and compliance obligations are met.

Skills and qualifications for success:
- Advanced communication skills in English; Spanish is an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in network security, information security, or network support.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks timely.
- Knowledge of network principles, cyber security concepts, investigation procedures, and adversary techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience evaluating Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), and sharing threat intelligence.
- Familiarity with security controls such as IDS, IPS, SIEM, and Web Content Filtering.
- Excellent presentation skills for technical and executive audiences.
- Broad understanding of cyber adversaries, attack vectors, and attacker tools.
- Experience analyzing data from multiple sources and producing reports.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or related field.
- Security certifications (e.g., GSEC, Security+, CCNA, CEH, OSCP) are a plus.
