Job summary

RBC seeks a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to join the IAM Onboarding Team in Toronto. You will collaborate with business partners and application teams to onboard apps to RBC IAM solutions, ensuring compliance with security standards and alignment with the IAM strategy.

You will participate in onboarding testing, develop requirements and technical specs, and help identify security risks in line with RBC standards. Strong IAM experience is essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IAM with security controls.
• Experience with CyberArk PAS, SailPoint IdentityIQ, or Entra ID.
• Ability to lead, prioritize, and deliver with minimal oversight.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting.

What is the opportunity?

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Onboarding Team is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Specialist to work towards onboarding applications to RBC’s Identity and Access Management solutions in accordance with the IAM onboarding strategy and IAM goals. This role will require you to work with a wide range of technology and business stakeholders to ensure onboarded applications continue to comply with security standards. You will identify business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and meet sponsor/stakeholder needs.

What will you do?

• Work with business partners and application teams across RBC Enterprise to explain the onboarding process and document requirements. Identify and implement solutions to improve the efficiency of the onboarding process.
• Work with business partners and application teams to ensure onboarded applications continue to be compliant.
• Learn architectural patterns relevant to RBC’s IAM services.
• Identify and report security risks in accordance with RBC Standards.
• Participate in all aspects of onboarding testing as requested by the onboarding team: This may include:
  • Review, analyze, and define onboarding requirements as well as contribute to the technical development specifications
  • Test case scenario creation and assisting with test case writing
  • Assisting with DEV, SAI (UAT) and PIV testing

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

• 7+ years experience working with IAM capabilities and solutions, must have a strong understanding of IAM concepts and solutions designs for efficient security controls
• Experience with one or more IAM tools: CyberArk PAS, SailPoint IdentityIQ, or Entra ID
• Ability to manage, lead, prioritize, and execute with minimal direction or oversight
• Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
• Understanding data sets and generating meaningful reports

Nice-to-have

• Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio, etc.), Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence), and ServiceNow.
• Professional certification(s) related to information security or information risk management such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP
