Job summary

Choice Properties Real Estate Investment Trust in Toronto seeks a Senior Analyst, Cyber Security to support and advance the organization's security program, reporting to the Director, Cyber Security. You will help with threat monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessments, policy alignment, and security awareness, while administering Microsoft security tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in Information Security or related IT role.
• Post-secondary education in CS/IT/Info Security or related field.
• Industry certifications (Security+, CySA+, CISA, CISM, or MS Identity/Info Security certs) preferred.
• Strong communication, self-motivation, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support cyber security assessments and audits aligning with NIST CSF 2.0 and NIST SP 800-53 controls.
• Develop, maintain, and refine internal cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Manage security awareness and training program across departments.
• Execute Governance, Risk, and Compliance tasks including vendor risk evaluations and remediation tracking.
• Administer security tools like Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Resolve user-reported security tickets and requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate vulnerability management workflows and remediation reporting.
• Monitor real-time security alerts and support incident response efforts.
• Maintain expertise in Microsoft security suite (Purview, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID).

Education

Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field
