Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze coverage and settle complex claims in Gallagher Bassett's specialty claims areas.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of assigned claims files.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and investigations to determine claims exposure and recommend settlement strategies.
  • Create reservation of rights and coverage denial letters.
  • Negotiate settlements with clients, attorneys, and Public Adjusters.
  • Interact with involved parties and recommend outside expert advice when necessary.
  • Prepare reserve and settlement requests for approval.
  • Act as a client advocate to ensure proper claims handling.
  • Understand claims processing and the insurance brokerage business.
  • Provide guidance to lower-level adjusters.
Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma and 7 years of relevant experience in the specialty claims area.
  • Ability to handle challenging claims issues at a senior adjuster level.
  • Proper licensing or certification in applicable states or ability to obtain it.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices.
  • Computer proficiency with claims and business software.
