What You’ll Be Doing

The Credit Processing Services team provides compliance and credit fulfillment support to Commercial Banking and Capital Markets. The Senior Credit Risk Analyst is a senior specialist role accountable for providing specialized service for credit-related products to an industry specific portfolio primarily within Capital Markets business segment. You will be responsible for all aspects of administration and monitoring of established credit facilities and maintain independent responsibility for the input, monitoring and escalation of risk elements on complex credit portfolios with minimal supervision. This Sr. Credit Risk Analyst will be looking specifically after the Supply Chain Finance portfolio. The role is located in Toronto.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Domain Knowledge: experience looking at credit/risk participation agreements and familiar with terminologies like receivables finance and payable finance.
  • System Knowledge: experience using ACBS and most importantly Trade360 would be an asset. Strong skills using Microsoft Excel.
  • Service Delivery Reliability: Liaise and interact with Clients and Business Partners. Respond to inquiries and requests providing professional high quality of customer service for the assigned portfolio. Monitor ongoing risks associated with accounts through systems and reports for all credit facilities to process transactions, perform detailed analysis of the provided artefacts related to the transactions to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Compliance and Production Support: Review complex loan documentation to ensure compliance with authorized credit and due diligence to escalate errors/omissions for correction prior to closing, and conditions precedent are met prior to closing and funding for new/amended credit facilities. Act independently of the business to ensure ongoing compliance of the terms and conditions of the authorized credit and exercise delegated authority to make decisions as required. Ensure compliance to internal controls and procedures with full authority to escalate to Senior Business Partners and/or Risk Management as appropriate to maintain integrity of CIBC's position and timely resolution of issues.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with CIBC Business Partners on all credit-related activities to ensure accounts operate within terms and conditions of the authorized credit. Act as a consultant to the business for deal structure and presentation to ensure customer satisfaction. Manage the credit fulfillment function by providing specialized operational and administrative expertise.
