Senior Credit Risk Analyst – TD

Location: Burlington, Ontario, Canada | Hours: 37.5 per week | Line Of Business: Risk Management

Overview

The Analyst supports new business initiatives in the equipment finance portfolio, focusing on credit and operational risk management. Responsible for preparing and approving credit reviews (within their DLs) and monitoring and control within the TD Equipment Finance (TDEF) portfolio. Structures competitive financing solutions while maintaining credit quality, partnering with Sales Executives and Assistant Account Managers to grow the portfolio, add new clients, and meet speed-to-market expectations. Reports to the Sr. Manager Credit, TD Equipment Finance.

On a Typical Day At Work
  • Structure and package competitive credit solutions on time to meet customer needs, including credit applications with risk assessment (credit bureau, financial statements, and borrowing history analyses), credit structure, due diligence, and credit presentation (emphasis on Transportation and construction equipment).
  • Contribute to growth of the TDEF RAC / SBB portfolio.
  • Deliver sound equipment financing expertise.
  • Present unique, complex transactions to senior management.
  • Collaborate with skilled equipment finance professionals and maintain high levels of service at every interaction.
  • Support operational excellence and drive improvements in products, processes or services based on internal / external challenges and industry trends.
  • Be a constructive team member, promote a positive work environment, and ensure timely communication of issues or points of interest.
  • Provide product and industry knowledge and participate in knowledge transfer within the team.
Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree and / or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in credit risk assessment and ability to structure.
  • Excellent analytical, judgement, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and end-user software.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
  • Robust organizational skills; able to work in a demanding environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required.
