Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst in the Equipment Financing team. You will analyze financial statements and credit applications to assess risks and recommend appropriate loan structures for complex financing needs.

You will prepare clear, well‑supported credit submissions for clients, ensure compliance, and collaborate with senior relationship managers to support strategies for mid to large commercial clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and several years of experience (typically 5+ years in financial services, including 3 years in business lending).
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of equipment financing, leasing, collateral security, and documentation requirements.

Your role

Requirements
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and several years of experience (typically 5+ years in financial services, including 3 years in business lending).
  • Demonstrated expertise in credit underwriting, financial statement analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of equipment financing, leasing, collateral security, and documentation requirements.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of complex credit requests with sound judgment and prioritization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (particularly Excel).
