Senior Creative Technologist, AI Role :

We're seeking an exceptional Senior Creative Technologist who will be at the forefront of transforming cutting-edge 3D design, real-time rendering, and generative AI technologies into immersive, scalable digital experiences. This role combines deep technical expertise with an artistic vision to drive our creative initiatives forward.

What You'll Do

• Optimize 3D assets to ensure high visual quality while maintaining performance across various platforms.
• Build rigging and animation workflow for characters and objects to create dynamic and high fidelity animations.
• Implement optimized assets into real-time engines to create engaging, interactive experiences with a balance of aesthetics and performance.
• Develop and customize tools that streamline workflows and ensure seamless integration across internal and external platforms.
• Pioneer generative AI integrations into asset creation, rigging, animation, and other 3D pipelines.
• Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to refine concepts, iterate on prototypes, and translate creative visions into practical, high-quality 3D content.

What We're Looking For

• Strong understanding of 3D workflows – from modeling and texturing to rigging, animation, and rendering.
• Hands-on experience with AI-driven tools for 3D (e.g., using machine learning for texture generation, mesh manipulation, or procedural creation).
• A passion for pushing creative boundaries at the intersection of AI and 3D design, always exploring new possibilities.
• Ability to prototype and experiment with emerging technologies, quickly learning new AI tools and integrating them into projects.

Hard Requirements

• Proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, Maya, Houdini (or similar) for modeling, animation, and rendering.
• Proficiency in real-time rendering engines like Unreal Engine, especially for creating interactive 3D content.
• Experience with AI-powered tools and platforms (e.g., Stable Diffusion, RunwayML, Adobe Firefly) for content generation and enhancement.
• Knowledge of procedural generation techniques and experience using AI for automation in the 3D pipeline.
• Scripting / programming skills (Python, C++, etc.) to customize tools or build AI-driven automation in the workflow.
• A portfolio that showcases AI-integrated 3D projects, highlighting your ability to merge creativity with technology.

Monks has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Salary Range : CAD 120,000—$140,000
