Job description

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an experienced Senior Cost Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage forecasting, budgeting, and cost control for a major project in KSA.

What You'll Be Doing:
  1. Set up baseline budgets with an appropriate WBS, coordinating with project teams and the Project Manager.
  2. Analyze, evaluate, forecast, and report on cost status against the baseline.
  3. Prepare and update weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.
  4. Establish resource, revenue, and cost projections in coordination with project teams.
  5. Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Use historical data for future planning and forecasting.
  7. Monitor project progress and perform Earned Value Analysis.
  8. Participate in reviews and support the team in explaining variances.
  9. Provide guidance for complex cost control issues.
  10. Support the Project Director in reviewing the business plan.
  11. Complete performance reviews and support personnel development.
  12. Customize project control systems as needed.
  13. Interface with clients and attend meetings, providing statistical reports.
  14. Coordinate with departments to ensure proper cost charging and visibility.
  15. Perform other related responsibilities.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Engineering, or Finance with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Professional affiliations such as ACA, CMA, or ACCA.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
