Qualifications

• 5 years of financial accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, or ASPE; inventory accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience handling multi-currency and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end process, including reconciliation and analysis.
• Lead inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Assist with North American sales tax remittances and audits.

The Senior Corporate Accountant challenges in a Few Words:
To support our international operations, we seek an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant responsible for financial accounting and month-end tasks for North American entities. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will maintain high-quality financial data to support Group growth. Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the Group’s month-end process, including reconciliation and analysis of balance sheets and P&L accounts for Canadian, US, and Mexican entities, applying ASPE standards. Document, investigate, resolve discrepancies, and prepare journal entries.
• Lead inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Assist with investigations into unusual transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate and account for bi-monthly payroll processes for North American entities, providing necessary financial information, reviewing payroll data, and preparing related journal entries.
• Participate in training junior accountants and review their tasks.
• Assist with North American sales tax remittances, year-end audits, tax audits, and tax returns.
• Prepare financial data for insurance renewals and support ad hoc projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or relevant experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification is an asset.
• At least 5 years of financial accounting experience in a multinational environment, handling multi-currency and intercompany transactions.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, or ASPE; inventory accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably D365, and strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Bilingual in English and French, both spoken and written.
