Equiton in Burlington, Ontario is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to deliver financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across multiple entities. You’ll work with auditors, assist in budgets, and implement accounting guidelines in a fast-paced real estate investment environment.
The role requires CPA designation (or in progress), an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong IFRS knowledge. Proficiency in Excel and NetSuite is preferred.
The Corporate Finance team plays a critical role in the financial reporting of Equiton Group financial statements, the development and implementation of accounting and financial policy guidelines, and the support of investment initiatives and structures.
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Corporate Accountant will complete financial reporting, forecasting and analysis across various entities, support corporate budgets, work with external and internal auditors to compile the data for preparation of annual & quarterly financial statements, be involved in special projects and implement updated accounting guidelines.
This position will collaborate with various teams including acquisitions, properties management, portfolio investment management, marketing, and compliance to ensure we apply best practices and methodologies in acquisitions, budgets and forecasts and reporting.
The ideal candidate will be an organized leader, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, detail oriented and able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
The expected annualized base salary range for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 plus a discretionary bonus. The actual base salary offered will take into consideration factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, and relevant education or training.
