BioVectrahas an opening for an experiencedSenior Controls Instrumentation/Electromechanical Technicianreporting to ourMaintenance Superintendent.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Controls Instrumentation/Electromechanical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out instrumentation maintenance duties as assigned by the Manager or Superintendent, Maintenance.This position will install, calibrate, and commission instrument, electrical and mechanical industrial manufacturing equipment as required. The senior tech is also responsible to lead the timely scheduling and execution of the PM calibration program.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Two-week continental rotational shift, Days 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Trade Certificate as Electromechanical, Instrumentation, or Electronics technician or 5+ years of direct instrumentation controls or calibration experience in lieu of certificate.
• CET or industrial electrician would be an asset.
EXPERIENCE:
• 5+ years’ experience in an industrial environment as a Controls and Instrumentation technician, Electromechanical technician or manufacturing equipment Calibration Technician.
• Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Rockwell PLC systems/Strong PLC programming skills would be an asset.
• Experience in GMP, pharmaceutical or FDA/Health Canada regulated industries is an asset.
PREFEERED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Prior mentorship of junior instrument technicians/enjoys training others.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player with minimal supervision.
• Self-motivated team player.
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Ability to work shift work, overtime and respond to call ins as required.
• Occasional heavy lifting is required.
