Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead automation projects across North American pulp and paper facilities. You will guide design, implementation, commissioning and training for modern control systems, with frequent collaboration with clients, vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications include an Engineering degree, EIT/P.Eng/AScT registration and 10+ years' industrial experience. Travel to sites nationwide and internationally is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering (automation, electrical, or related field).
• Registration as EIT, P.Eng., or AScT in British Columbia is preferred.
• 10+ years of industrial experience in Pulp & Paper or consulting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead control systems projects through feasibility, design, implementation and commissioning.
• Identify automation scope expansion to deliver client value.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors and internal teams to meet goals.
• Design and develop modern control systems and write narratives.
• Develop control algorithms and verify performance and safety.
• Produce clear technical documentation and project deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and support proposals and risk mitigation.
• Oversee checkout and training during DCS handover.
